Band

A Report consists of multiple sections such as page header, title, body, page footer, etc. Various band components are provided for each section. Components such as labels and charts should be inserted into bands. So, appropriate bands for each component must be inserted into the report first.

One Report consists of multiple bands. Each band has a fixed position order in the report according to its characteristic.

Most of the bands are repeated downward. However, there are bands repeating toward right such as side band, data expander band, data header expander band, data footer expander band, side header expander band, and side footer expander band.

To insert a band to the report design area, click the band icon on the Insert Band tab and drag & drop it in the report area. To insert bands whose icon is not shown on the toolbar, right-click a band and click Insert Band on the popup menu. Or, use band properties such as Has Header, Has Footer, Dummy Header Count, and Dummy Footer Count.
