Data Label

Data Label prints dataset field value. It only can be placed on the bands that have dataset properties, such as data band, data header band, and group header band.

Click the icon on the Ribbon Menu

Click Data on the Insert Component tab and drag & drop it in the band. Double-click the data label to see a dataset field list for the band.

Drag a dataset field from DataInfo window

Drag a dataset field from the DataInfo window to an empty area in the data band. A data label to show the selected dataset field is created. The label's properties such as size, font follow property values set by the default label dialog. To open the default label dialog, click Default Label on the Home tab.

When a dataset field is dragged from the DataInfo window to a label in the band, not to an empty area in the band, if the band has dataset property, the label will be changed to a data label. If the band has no dataset property, the label will be changed to a summary label.
