Digitized Car Inspection and Customer Consultation Report
Kia Motors, headquartered in Seoul, is South Korea’s second-largest automobile manufacturer. From its humble origins of making bicycles and motorcycles, Kia Motors now produces more than three million vehicles a year.
More than 100,000 checklists and customer consultation reports were generated monthly for inspection checks. Producing this huge volume of checklists and reports was time-consuming and costly for Kia Motors. To increase productivity and reduce business costs, Kia Motors decided to rewrite and recreate paper forms and documents digitally.
All inspection and customer consultation reports were recreated into digital forms using Smart e-Form. In addition, a customer satisfaction form was added for collecting customer feedback after the inspection process using a tablet PCs. This is an indicator to improve customer service levels. Information keyed into digital forms were stored to the database automatically, eliminating manual labor of transferring data. Completed digital forms and inspection reports can be printed from connected mobile devices or PCs instantly.
The entire integration was hassle-free as Smart e-Form is easily integrable with Kia Motors’ existing systems. After the implementation, organizational efficiency and effectiveness improved significantly. Inspectors can now focus and spend more time in inspecting vehicles and provide a better service to all customers.
